Sukriti Sharma is a revered Kathak artist and dedicated educator, renowned for her profound adherence to the traditional tenets of the Lucknow Gharana. She began her Kathak journey at age eight under Guru Shri Ashok ChakraBorty, followed by a decade of disciplined training with the esteemed Guru Shri Krishan Mohan Mishra at Kathak Kendra,
New Delhi. She further honed her artistry as a repertory artist for four years under the legendary Padma Vibhushan
Smt. Shovana Narayan, earning distinction as a Delhi Doordarshan Graded Artist. For Sukriti,Kathak is deeply personal—a cherished practice that brings joy, opportunities to travel, and fulfillment through sharing her passion.
Her illustrious performance career spans continents. In India, she has graced prestigious festivals including the Konark Festival, Surya Festival, and Kathak Mahotsava. In Canada, she has been a vibrant force in the dance community, performing at Momentum Festival, Angikam, ArohaFest, Salaam Rehmaan, and Toes For Dance. Sukriti was a core member of Sampradaya Dance Creation’s acclaimed production Mandala, which toured extensively across India in 2022.
She has collaborated with Arzoo Dance Theatre since 2018, recently touring Self Portraits with Amrita to the Asia Pacific Dance Festival 2025 in Hawaii, and worked with choreographers including Deepti Gupta, Lata Pada, Tanveer Alam, and Hemant & Vaishali Panwar. She has also contributed as a vocalist for the National Ballet of Canada and for Aakarsh by Tanveer Alam for Dance Made in Canada.
A recipient of mentorship grants from Sampradaya Dance Creation and the Toronto Arts Council, Sukriti is deeply committed to teaching. She has conducted workshops for Bollywood Dance School, DanceWeekend 2025, and numerous schools across the Greater Toronto Area.
